10:00am – 12:00pm
Harry Parkinson is a registered sound therapy practitioner. Sound baths, gong baths, sound therapy group work or group sessions are based on a therapy session but with several (5-20) people receiving a treatment all at once. This can produce a tremendous amount of positive energy which becomes available to the individuals present. The effects of this on relaxation can be extraordinary and can be an excellent introduction to the therapy. This energy may move people emotionally or spiritually, providing an opportunity for the release of emotional content in a safe environment or providing the opportunity to advance personal development or self realisation. Often during group sessions larger bowls are employed. These tend to be lower in tone with deep prolonged resonances that can have profound effects on those present.
There are two sessions during the day:
session 1 – 10am
Session 2 – 2pm.
Each session commences with a 45 minute drumming / gong bath followed by a refreshment break and finishing with the more traditional sound bath of approximately 50 minutes featuring a full array of crystal and tibetan bowls, rain-stick, ocean drum, tuned chimes and pipes (sofeggio/harmonic) and various other percussion instruments.
Places are limited and can fill up quickly so booking in advance is advisable.
