Founded in Ireland in 1968, Concern Worldwide grew from a grassroots movement into a global humanitarian organisation now working across 26 countries with over 4,700 personnel. Its role is to ensure people living in extreme poverty can meet their basic needs, achieve their rights and manage their own development, addressing the root causes of poverty through long-term development work as well as emergency response. Concern has been at the forefront of pioneering approaches to treating malnutrition, maternal and child healthcare, mobile cash transfers and disaster recovery, working in some of the world's most fragile and hard-to-reach places.

County Wicklow PPN is a non-party political and non-sectarian representative organisation that acts as a voice for all community and voluntary organisations in the county. It's a network of community groups from all municipal districts in Co. Wicklow, focused on environmental, social inclusion and other community activities across the county. The PPN acts as a channel for information between local and national bodies and community groups, supporting members to grow and be heard through seminars, workshops and consultations, helping ensure local voices shape decision-making on issues from climate action to community wellbeing.

Founded by the Dominican Sisters in the mid-1990s on 70 acres above Wicklow Town, An Tairseach was established by the Sisters to embrace care of the earth as an important part of their mission. The 70 acre farm has produced chemical-free food for over twenty years while providing a safe haven for wildlife, and hosts one-day and weekend courses on subjects ranging from cosmology to growing organic food, alongside a biannual residential sabbatical programme exploring spirituality in the context of an evolving universe. The centre combines organic farming, ecological education and reflection, with a working farm shop supplying fresh, local produce to the community.
