Incarnate: A Journey with the Earth’s Somatic Intelligence

With Taylor Marie Daniels, Melanie O’Driscoll

4 Week Residential Sabbatical

The Journey of the Universe Story tells us how we are a living expression of the universe. Our bodies and the body of the earth express this reality from moment to moment. The somatic (body) intelligence of the earth is an essential literacy we must develop if we are to truly embody a harmonious relationship with the earth and all her species.

Somatics describes a field within bodywork and movement studies which emphasizes internal physical perception and personal embodied experience.

Join us this October to journey through the circular lens of Celtic Christianity, the natural sciences and place-based Somatic Healing.

Our October Sabbatical Programme is a transformational experiential learning & healing retreat designed to give you space to rest and rediscover what it means to be incarnate on planet Earth.

As Teilhard reminds us “Matter is Spirit moving slow enough to be seen.” Our bodies are of the divine and a living expression of our evolving universe.

The Celtic Tradition has a rich offering of integral spirituality, rooted in the land, the four elements and the stories and language of place, while branching into the luminosity of Christ.

This 4-week immersion will invite participants into a deeply personal, gently facilitated healing space guided by the wisdom of the body, prayer and scripture.

This experiential course is designed to help you slow down to the pace of your inner being and truly listen to what is present to simply Be. As the famous axiom says, “you can only go as fast as the slowest part of yourself.”

What happens when we truly slow enough listen to the wisdom of the body and the Earth?

In this 4-week programme we will draw deeply from the wellsprings of:

Contemplative practice in the Mystical Christian Tradition.

The Celtic Christian way inspired by the Gospel, the Saints and the writings of John O’Donohue (author of Anam Cara).

The Journey of the Universe and Earth’s organic wisdom.

The Somatic experiencing methodology developed by trauma-healing expert Peter A. Levine.

Each week will include a pilgrimage to a sacred site on the East Coast of Ireland where our prayers, intention and healing will be deeply woven with the story of this ancient landscape.
